To obtain Oracle Java Certifications prior to Java SE 11, one must complete two levels. These levels include the Oracle Certified Associate, Java SE 8 Programmer and the Oracle Certified Professional, Java SE 8 Programmer. It is important to note that the Level 1 certification is a prerequisite for the Level 2 certification.
